Mom's Pulled Pork

I frequently receive requests to share my Mom's Pulled Pork recipe. It's a great meal to put in the crock pot and have the smell fill the whole house. 

1 3 to 4 pound pork button (shoulder) roast
1/2 cup Tim's Texas 2 Step BBQ Citrus Rub 
1/2 bottle Tim's Texas 2 Step BBQ Sauce 
1/4 can of your favorite soda (Pepsi, Dr. Pepper)

1. Rub pork with BBQ Citrus Rub and let seasoning marinate 4 to 24 hours before cooking.
2. Place roast in to slightly greased 6 qt. slow cooker, pour Tim's Texas 2 Step BBQ Sauce over the top of the roast, pour in 1/4 can of soda. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours on Low heat meat is done when it shreds easily with a fork. 
3. Transfer roast to sheet pan or cutting board and shred with 2 forks. Skim fat from sauce, add shredded pork back into sauce, add more BBQ Sauce if needed.
